  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed (optional but adds more fiber)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional for extra sweetness)

Instructions

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lining a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly greasing it. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, mashed bananas, and ground flaxseed. Stir well until the oats and flax are fully coated in the banana mixture.

Sprinkle in the baking powder and salt, then gently fold in the blueberries. If you’d like a touch more sweetness, add your favorite natural sweetener (like honey or maple syrup) at this stage. Using a spoon, divide the mixture evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about three-quarters of the way.

Pop the muffin tin into the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the bites are golden around the edges and the centers are set. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Whether you’re making them for a picky eater or a crowd, these bites are sure to be a hit for their sweet flavor, simple preparation, and satisfyingly wholesome ingredients.
